“MACHINE? What machine? This is a cat carrier, I know it is!”
says TX Cat, Miss Pumpkin as preparations were made to pack for Sue Spargo “Creative Stitchery” workshop at Creations Quilt Shop, Kerrville, Texas.
Madelyn, Peggy and I loaded Madelyn’s limo with room to spare. Patty flew in from CA and Diane flew in from NC. They met in Austin to rent a car and joined us in Kerrville. Here we all are with Sue.
Sue is SO delightful and such an OUTSTANDING Teacher! She stayed in the classroom for class instruction as well as our studio time. She was available to all for individualized personal attention to help with designing, stitching, etc. One of her books is shown here:
You can read more about it and order it on Sue’s web site:

The project shown is with my stitching. Very FUN!
Madelyn worked on a wonderful variety of circles.
Peggy worked on wonderful Noah’s Ark animals.
Diane stitched on wonderful birds.
Whoops – the bird is flying upwards!
And the colors Diane chose are SO much better in person!
Patty’s wonderful project included two dogs Barney and Cleo.
And the black cat is Zoe.
Yes, all are wonderful! Photos do not capture all the stitches or color!
Here are a few photos of a couple work stations!
Sue’s samples and teaching tools are amazing!
Here are more of Sue’s AMAZING quilts.

There is thread and SO MUCH MORE from Sue!
Two more views of Diane’s birds.
And Madelyn’s circles.
With Barney and Cleo.
The rest of these photos were taken as projects were posted on the design walls by various creative students in the class. I am sorry I cannot give credit by name. But there are too many wonderful (to repeat and repeat that adjective) ideas and they need to be shared! Enjoy these and be sure to read more about Sue Spargo!
These are great pics of our fun at Sue’s workshop! I better keep working so I can make my circles look like Sue’s! Great times together with sweet sisters.
Yes, GREAT time together!
Judy, a ‘wonderful’ recap of a fun filled week and great workshop with Sue shared with good friends…..all the best! And the photos just give us more inspiration to keep going on our projects. Thanks a bunch!
Thanks Peggy. Yes, will keep on going on projects with Sue’s instruction and book will keep on keepin’ on!
