Creations Quilt Shop is in Kerrville, Texas, sixty miles north of San Antonio.

“Creations was established in 1978 and for the last 36 years we have specialized in fabric for quilters and sewing enthusiasts. Of course, we have plenty patterns and books to help you create projects with our beautiful fabrics. In addition to quilting, clothing and home dec sewing, over the years we’ve added hand stitchery, machine embroidery, and wool applique to our product mix.”
The last week of February, 2014
it was my pleasure to travel with quilting friends thru the Texas Hill Country.
Travel in Texas included a stop at Sonic. There are many historic court houses to see.
There are SO many houses of period architecture to see!
The landscapes of the Hill Country are unique with low bristle cacti
as well as towering trees.
If you have never had opportunity to travel the Texas Hill Country, you will not be disappointed if you take the time to visit. Not only is the countryside delightful, historic and welcoming, when you visit Creations you will be SO GLAD you made the trip!
Creations is owned by Kathy and Julie, two sisters who have been in business since 1978! To say they are delightful and welcoming is such an understatement!
Read about the historic beginning of Creations:

Kathy and Julie have surrounded themselves with a staff that is AMAZING! Following the lead of their owners, all are – (repeating) DELIGHTFUL AND WELCOMING, as well as knowledgeable and ready to serve.

You have to meet Annie, holster hips equipped to work!
The Creations web site will take you on a tour of the shop.

Room after room there is SO MUCH TO SEE. Make sure to allow plenty of time! No kidding! Make sure to allow PLENTY OF TIME! Our Sue Spargo “Creative Stitching” retreat arranged for our arrival on Sunday and departure on Thursday. Every day the walk-across -parking-lot was a treat!!!!!
The web site shows the grand variety of projects. Here are just four photos of the hundreds available.
One other web site entry you have to read describes the Creations’ Anniversary Sale! Remember, they have been in business since 1978. Over three decades these two very savvy business women and their ‘small’ business are a snapshot of what persistence, perseverance and servant leadership will bring to a quilt shop as well as the quilt industry!
